Working alongside Roehampton University, Ursuline High School leads a unique school direct partnership with 9 primary schools in Merton.
Our partnership aims to provide an awe inspiring, vibrant and caring environment where trainee teachers can develop their teaching experience, knowledge and skills while feeling supported by experienced professionals.
As the lead school for primary training and judged outstanding the aim is to deliver excellence. Teach Wimbledon primary training provides an opportunity to trainees due to the diversity and contrasting range of teaching practices and training environments.
In all schools we have highly skilled and trained mentors with exemplary teaching skills who are committed to sharing their knowledge and practice with the new trainee teachers.
The University of Roehampton has been at the forefront of teacher education for over 100 years and has a long-established, international reputation as one of the principal providers of teacher education in the UK. Many members of the academic staff are at the cutting edge of research in teacher education, which has a positive impact on the quality of provision for all of our students; and all tutors have extensive teaching experience in schools with many having served as consultants or as Ofsted inspectors.
