These checks will be completed by the university with whom you complete your teacher training, if you are a tuition fee trainee, and by the school at which you complete your teacher training, if you are a salaried trainee.
Apprenticeship places represent a significant commitment from the host school to fund salary and associated benefits. For this reason, schools will take care to select candidates who they feel have a level of maturity (irrespective of age) to operate as a responsible member of staff.

Should you not already hold a grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE English language, maths or science (primary applicants only), then you will be required to sit a GCSE equivalency test. Teach Wimbledon accepts GCSE equivalency tests through the following providers:
